Feather-star started as a sketch for Joen’s deep-sea installation over at noscope. I wanted to capture the feeling of being underwater, but also reference people’s experiences at going to aquariums or watching documentaries. I used field audio recordings for the background (with processing), and a sparse melody of clarinet and flute.
