I wanted to capture the feeling of being underwater, but also reference people’s experiences at going to aquariums or watching documentaries. I used field audio recordings for the background (with processing), and a sparse melody of clarinet and flute.

My mix is less experimental, but still very… not standard. I stand by it, even though I might have made different choices in the present.

Vocal samples are from “Twilight Q,” a Japanese animated Twilight Zone knock-off. The Red Tide episode was the inspiration for this song.
